Massage therapy is a great career for a caring, mature individual who enjoys working independently in an overwhelmingly positive, low-stress atmosphere. Massage therapists are well paid, and enjoy helping their clients relax and overcome pain.

The MH Vicars School of Massage Therapy is a licensed private vocational school offering a 2200-hour program leading to a Diploma in Remedial Massage Therapy. This is the qualification that you need to launch a professional career on your own terms. Create your own business or take a well-rewarded position in a gym, clinic or wellness centre.

We make a professional massage career affordable

Most students will be able to balance the learning with their "day jobs," so most can avoid large student loans or grants. It helps that we are less expensive than traditional colleges, too. We are accredited for both provincial and federal student assistance. Within the school, bursaries and no-fee payment plans are available.

Distance learning works

Students do most of the academic work at home, but must be able to attend compulsory tutorials for lectures, demonstrations and hands-on practice at our well-equipped classrooms in either Edmonton or Calgary. Depending on their location and work schedule, students choose to attend monthly or weekly tutorials.

Monthly students come to the school once a month for a three-day weekend.

Weekly students spend one day in class each week.

Between tutorials, students work at home, using our excellent materials to guide them. Instructors are available by telephone or e-mail to answer questions between tutorials.
