Certified Careers Institute
Create a Better Life®
The mission of Certified Careers Institute (CCI) is to help
students create a better life through education. We do this by
understanding and catering to our students' needs. We offer
high-quality career training in some of the fastest-growing
fields, and financial aid is available for those who qualify.
As a trade popular with young American adults, massage therapy is
expected to grow, by leaps and bounds, as a career field over the
next 10 years. It can be used for relaxation, pain relief or to
treat ailments ranging from tension to sports injuries. A
specialized massage therapy training program helps massage
therapists to understand the whole health needs of their
clients--besides a knowledge of human anatomy and movement,
massage therapists learn about their clients as people; their
likes, dislikes, fears and dreams. Massage therapists are
communicators, too--their language, however, is the language of
touch and healing.
Our Career Focused Programs
We offer hands-on programs designed to train adults for in-demand
careers. Our focus on specialized education allows students to
develop the skills needed to succeed in today's demanding
marketplace.
Through CCI Clearfield's massage therapy education classes,
you'll learn the skill set you need to embark upon a career as a
massage therapist. When you blend theory taught in CCI's classes
with hands-on experience, you've got the formula for a successful
massage therapy career.
Massage Therapy - Certificate
With a focus on client health and satisfaction, massage therapy
is a "helping" career that lets you really get to know people.
This program teaches students the fundamentals of massage, as
well as a targeted blend of industry-relevant skills to prepare
you for the workforce. These include:
- Human pathology and anatomy, so you understand which muscle
groups you're massaging
- Human physiology and kinesiology, so you understand how human
body parts move together and apart
- Swedish massage techniques, which are common in the massage
industry
- Current popular and widely used massage techniques for
massage therapists
- Other industry-relevant skills that enable you to sit for the
national massage exam
Becoming a massage therapist is like getting an education for any
other career; it involves hard work and practice, but by taking
advantage of the opportunity knocking, you can turn your passion
into your profession in no time.
