We assist with out of state licensing to make it easy to work in many states like New York, Connecticut, Florida, New Mexico, Hawaii and Maryland.

And now financing your education is easier than ever, since AMT was the first massage school in NJ approved by the U.S. Department of Education to offer Title IV Financial Aid.

  • The Commission on Massage Therapy Accreditation (COMTA).

AMT was also the first massage school in Bergen County to be approved by:

  • New Jersey Department of Education.

AMT is member of:

  • AMTA Council of Schools.
  • Approved by the Immigration & Naturalization Services to issue I-20's to qualified foreign students.

Financial Aid

AMT has met the requirements of the U.S. Department of Education for Title IV Federal Financial Aid. We participate in the Pell Grant program and Stafford Loan program and Parent Loan for Undergraduate Students (PLUS). Our financial aid officer who can provide you with an estimate of how much you may receive if you qualify, based on personal financial information. For those not eligible, we have no-interest payments plans and financing to meet your needs.

Massage Therapy Certificate Program (8 months)

614 clock hours / 44 quarter credit hours

Students learn:

  • Pregnancy massage

  • Anatomy
  • Physiology
  • Myology & palpation skills
  • Business & marketing

Clinical Massage Therapy Program

1149 clock hours / 57 quarter credit hours

Students learn:

  • Swedish massage
  • Medical massage
  • Anatomy & physiology
  • Myology & palpation skills
  • Reflexology
  • Shiatsu
  • Choice of elective
  • Integration of Eastern & Western techniques
  • Business & marketing
  • Applied anatomy (research, pain origin & management)
  • Kinesiology
  • Neurology
  • Pathology

All students will have lots of hands on practice in class as well as in our student clinic and community service events.

Continuing Education

AMT offers short classes for professionals and advanced students. All workshops are approved for Category "A" CEU's by the National Certification Board for Massage & Bodywork.
